About Meland Lumber
Meland Lumber has been in business for more than 60 years.
Nils Meland started the lumberyard in 1949 after managing yards for a large Minnesota line yard company for close to half a century.
In 1951 his son, Noren joined him, after his discharge from the U. S. Air Force. Noren and his wife, Audrey, ran the business together after Nils retired, and then turned management responsibilities over to two of their sons, Randy and Ricki, in 1982.
A full service yard, Meland Lumber’s large inventory also includes lawn & garden, electrical and plumbing supplies. "We were the first Do it Best dealer in North Dakota," says Noren Meland. "We provide everything you need to build, repair or remodel. The big boxes surround us, yet our business continues to grow each year. In fact, we sell a lot of products into Grand Forks, Fargo, and Devils Lake areas – which is about a 100 mile radius."
It’s easy to claim you offer "service", but when you back it up and actually deliver what you promise, you’re going to develop loyal customers, wherever they go.
